Security & incidents
When an MSP or business customer deploys Remvx agents to manage endpoints, that customer typically acts as the controller for end-user and endpoint data. Remvx processes such data as a service provider according to the customer's instructions and applicable agreement.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide directly
- Contact and account details: name, business email, organization name, role, phone number where provided
- Evaluation and onboarding information submitted through request forms
- Support communications, including chat messages and email correspondence
- Billing and contracting information where applicable
3.2 Endpoint and operational data
When Remvx agents and console services are deployed under an active tenant, we may process:
- Device identifiers: hostname, operating system version, hardware model, agent version, network addresses as required for connectivity
- Inventory and configuration signals needed for fleet management and policy enforcement
- Session metadata for remote support: technician identity, start/end time, approval status, policy applied
- Audit and security events generated by platform operations
3.3 Automatically collected website data
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps
- Cookie and local storage preferences where enabled - see Section 10
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or children's data) through our public marketing site.
4. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain Remvx services and tenant environments
- Authenticate users, enforce role-based access, and maintain tenant isolation
- Deliver remote support, monitoring, policy, and audit capabilities contracted by customers
- Respond to support requests, security reports, and evaluation inquiries
- Process billing, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Improve reliability, security, and documentation based on aggregated operational feedback
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We do not sell personal information. We do not use endpoint telemetry for unrelated advertising profiles.
6. Data retention and deletion
Retention periods depend on data type, contractual tier, and legal requirements. See our Data Retention Policy for operational log and audit record schedules.
- Website inquiry records: retained as needed for sales, support, and legal purposes
- Tenant operational data: retained per customer configuration and agreement during active service
- Upon service termination: tenant data is deleted or returned according to the offboarding process, typically within a defined window after contract end
Backup systems may retain encrypted copies for a limited period before automatic purge.
7. Security measures
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including access controls, encryption in transit, tenant isolation, logging, and vulnerability management practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage customers to maintain strong credential hygiene and least-privilege policies.
Report security concerns to [email protected] or via our Responsible Disclosure program.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port certain personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise rights related to Remvx website or account data, contact [email protected].
If you are an end user of a device managed by an MSP customer, direct most requests to that organization first - they control the deployment relationship. We will assist customers in responding where our platform is involved.
We will verify requests before acting and may decline requests that are unfounded, excessive, or prohibited by law.
9. MSP and customer responsibilities
Customers deploying Remvx are responsible for:
- Providing appropriate notice to their end users where required
- Establishing lawful bases for endpoint management and remote access
- Configuring retention, access roles, and approval workflows
- Responding to data subject requests for data they control
Evaluation and security documentation packs are available on request to support customer compliance workflows.
11. International transfers
Remvx is based in the United States. If you access our services from other regions, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our subprocessors operate. We use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers as required by applicable law.
12. Children's privacy
Remvx services are intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Contact us if you believe we have received such information in error.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy where permitted by law.
